Q. Who owns and manages the Centre?
The Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre (BCEC) was built by the State Government of Queensland and opened in 1995. BCEC is owned by South Bank Corporation on behalf of the Queensland Government and is proudly managed by AEG Ogden (Convex) Pty Ltd who operate convention and exhibition centres, arenas, theatres and stadiums acros the Asia Pacific Region.

Q. I am a student and I require information on the Centre, can you help me with my research?
Due to the high volume of requests we receive from students for information, we cannot reply to each request individually but would recommend that you research the web site in detail as it contains a significant amount of information which hopefully will assist you in your studies.
Q. What are the opening hours of the Centre?
The Administration Office is open from 8:30am - 5:30pm, Monday to Friday. Operational hours are determined by events held at the Centre.
Q. Is there wheelchair access at the Centre?
Yes, all public areas of the Centre can be accessed by wheelchair. Disabled car parking is also available at the Centre.
Q. Does the Centre have Automatic Teller Machines (ATMs)?
Yes, there are 2 ATMs situated on the main exhibition concourse. Other ATMs are available nearby in the South Bank precinct.
Q. Does the Centre have anywhere to leave personal belongings?
Yes, The Information Desk located in the Main Foyer has a cloakroom facility to assist with storing personal items.
Q. Can I park at the Centre and what is the cost?
There are 1,600 undercover parking spaces available at the Centre, accessed by Merivale and Grey Streets. The car park is open 24 hours, 7 days a week.

Q. What are the public transport options?
A comprehensive network of trains, buses and city cats (ferries) link the Centre with Brisbane city and suburbs. Translink tickets are the best way to visit and travel around the city. The Translink website contains more details: http://www.translink.com.au/
Q. By Train?
The closest train station is South Brisbane; only a few minutes walk away. A regular Air Train service operates between Brisbane’s international and domestic airports. Travelling time is approximately 25mins. Tickets are available from the Information Desk in the Main Foyer.
Q. By Bus?
The Cultural Centre is the main hub for most bus routes, only a few minutes walk away adjacent to the Queensland Performing Acts Centre. A Free Loop downtown bus service circles Brisbane’s Central Business District only.
Q. By River Cat?
The City Cat terminal is located outside the riverside restaurants on the Clem Jones Promenade. City Cats run daily from 5.30am-10.30pm.
Q. By Taxi?
A dedicated taxi rank is located at the main entrance to the Centre. Taxis are also accessible in other locations in the South Bank precinct including the 2 hotels – Rydges and Saville.

Q. What hotels are within walking distance to the Centre?

Q. Which hotels are closest to the Centre?
Rydges Hotel and the Saville Hotel are both conveniently located only 2 minutes walk away from the Centre.
Q. Where do I find concert floor plans and how do I know where my seats are for the concert that I am attending?
The floor plans, including seating numbers, for each concert we hold at the Centre are listed under the What's On page on our website, under event title.
Q. Where do I purchase tickets?
Tickets can be purchased through Ticketek on 132 849 and online at http://www.ticketek.com.au/. Tickets can be also purchased in person at the box office in the main foyer of the Centre.
