Top Catering Award for Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre (BCEC) has been named Queensland's top caterer at the 2008 Restaurant and Catering Queensland Awards in Brisbane.
For the second year in succession, the Centre received both the prestigious 'Caterer of the Year' award and was also successful in the 'Function/Convention Centre Caterer' category - for which it is the current holder of the national award.
These latest awards bring the Centre's number for major catering accolades to 42, with a total overall award tally of 103.
The Centre's performance in consistently being acknowledged by its peers for its excellence in food quality and service, is an endorsement of its commitment to delivering a dining experience comparable to the most celebrated international cuisine.
Recent changes to the presentation, content and service styles of the Centre's menus, has effectively redefined the perception of banquet style catering.
BCEC General Manager, Robert O'Keeffe said the Centre's outstanding record for catering was a key factor in overall performance and in maintaining a leadership position in a very competitive national and international market.
The Centre now goes forward to compete in the national Restaurant and Catering awards to be held at the Centre on October 27.
