International Convention Sales

Our International Convention Sales Team works primarily with associations and government in the key sectors of science, technology, medicine and business and industry in the International and Asia Pacific Regions.

The Team is one of the most experienced in the country and is responsible for research, business development and sourcing and securing international business events for Brisbane and The Centre. 

Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre leads the international bidding support for international conferences where the Centre sources the event or if the event is over 1000 delegates. We proactively co-invest with you to ensure the bid is won. The Team works in partnership with Brisbane Marketing, the city’s destinational marketing authority on site inspections and marketing support.

The Team comprises  -  Manager, International Convention Bidding, Sales Manager International Conventions, Senior International Business Development Manager, International Business Development Manager and Sales Assistant International Conventions, who offer the following services:

• Provision of a dedicated bid manager to work with you
• Support with bid assistance including bid production and presentation
• Development of bid strategy including competitor analysis and research
• Development of lobbying campaigns to secure votes for an Australian bid
• Assistance with personal presentation of your bid proposals
• Hosting destination and venue site inspections with regard to your event
• Development of promotional collateral
• Assistance with event website development
• Use of e-marketing initiatives to communicate with decision makers
• Liaison with Brisbane Marketing, Invest Queensland and relevant Government Departments
• Use of Queensland Government offices in Europe, America and Asia for international lobbying and dissemination of information
