The success of your event is of paramount importance to us, and whether you are organising an event for 5 or 5,000 our amazingly talented and friendly Team BCEC is well placed to deliver outstanding experiences.
We host more than 1,000 events each year. We are experienced and practiced event partners who will be with you every step of the journey.

Need to know
YOUR EVENT ORGANISER’S BADGE
You will receive an organiser’s badge on arrival. By wearing this badge you can be easily identified by our staff as an authorised organiser and signatory ensuring a priority response to your requirements. This badge is also an invitation for you to visit Merivales or Olio Café during your event for your personal coffee requirements.
YOUR CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE COORDINATOR
A Customer Experience Coordinator will be on hand to ensure your detailed plans come to life and to assist with any adjustments that may be required on the day. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch via the contact number in your Welcome text message.
IN CASE OF EMERGENCY
Please follow the instructions given by BCEC staff who are trained for an emergency situation.
The Centre has a 2-alarm system:
~ 1st alarm sound is BEEP BEEP – this is a ‘stand-by’ alarm. You will be notified if further action is required.
~ 2nd alarm sound is WHOOP WHOOP – this is the evacuation alarm which is followed by a PA message. This message will tell you if an evacuation is necessary. Please use the nearest EXIT and do not use the lifts in the event of a fire.
Centre staff will direct you to a safe assembly area outside the building.
For life threatening emergencies first DIAL 000
Then dial 3308 3068 for direct contact with BCEC Security, or DIAL 8 from a BCEC house phone. Let security know the details and location of the emergency so they can respond.
